een volledige eigenzinnige top 100 allertijden, eindelijk!

Na het lezen van top allertijden songlijstjes blijf ik vaak gefrustreerd achter, ja. Omdat de meeste muziekcritici (vooral die van Rolling Stone) het niet doorhebben dat er na de jaren '60 ook nog muziek werd gemaakt. Of dat anderen (ja, die van Humo) het niet doorhebben dat er buiten het Rockgebeuren ook nog muziek wordt gemaakt. Het zogenaamde Rockism dat ervoor heeft gezorgd dat ik persoonlijk meer en meer moeite heb met Rockplaten, vanwege dat enge kortzichtige Rockisme sfeertje errond (ja, ik heb er écht een hekel aan).

Net daarom heb ik mijn (vollediger) top 100 allertijden opgesteld (van enkel populaire muziek, geen jazz of klassiek dus). Verrassend is dat sommige van mijn favoriete genres ondervertegenwoordigd zijn, en niet al m'n favoriete artiesten staan er in. Maar, at least, ik heb een poging ondernomen om bepaalde genres, decennia niet domweg te negeren wat te vaak gebeurd. Wegens vooroordelen. En die goegemeente. En dat, bah, Rockism.
