- The longest aerobics class marathon

- The longest after dinner speech

Never invite Dr. Donald Thomas to dinner and if you do, make sure you never ask him to speak.

Dr. Donald Thomas performed an after-dinner speech at City College in New York from April 01, 1988 until April 03, 1988 about Vegetarian Athletic Nutrition.

Not including a bunch of 5 minute rest breaks, Dr. Donald Thomas' speech lasted an unspeakable 32 hours and 25 minutes.

We have to question whether this really was the world's longest after-dinner speech or was it just an after-dinner speech, an after-breakfast speech, an after-lunch speech, an after-dinner speech, an after-breakfast speech, an after-lunch speech, an after-dinner speech.....

- The longest time for balancing on one foot

Simon says, “Balancing on one foot.” Simon says, “Now balance on one foot for over three days.” That is exactly what Arulanantham Suresh Joachim, from Sri Lanka, did to be entered into the Guinness World Records for the longest time spent balancing on one foot.

Joachim achieved this feat at Vihara Maha Devi Park Open Air Stadium in Sri Lanka. He balanced on one foot for seventy-six hours and forty minutes. It took him from May 22, 1997 – May 25, 1997 to set the new record.

- The world's longest cell phone throw

If you find yourself tired of your old cell phone then book a trip to Savonlinna, Finland in August for the annual Mobile Phone Throwing World Championships which have been going on since 2000.

-The world’s longest dancing

The roots of marathon dancing go as far back as the mid 14th century, but as a sport it never really took off until the 1920's.

To find the record for the world's longest dance we have to shuffle our way back to August 29 1930 when Mike Ritof and Edith Boudreaux started dancing at the Merry Garden Ballroom, Chicago, Illinois.

They did not stop until April 01 1931 after clocking in 5,152 hours and 48 minutes, claiming the dance marathon record and $2,000.00 cash.

Every dance marathon has it's own rules and we are not sure of the exact rules of this one, but we are pretty certain they were given breaks. We are also pretty sure that this record may never be broken.

- The world's longest hangover

In October 2006 a man checked himself into a hospital in Glasgow, Scotland complaining of headaches and blurry vision which had troubled him for the past 4 weeks.

Doctors ran a battery of test but could not find anything wrong with the patient until he finally revealed that after a domestic dispute he turned to beer and over the course of 4 days consumed 60 pints or 35 liters of the frothy ale.

The over consumption of beer resulted in a rare condition called cerebral venous sinus thrombosis which can cause seizures, impaired consciousness, loss of vision and neurological damage.

Treatment of his condition included long-term blood-thinning and after slightly more than 6 months the patient was cured of his vision problems and headaches, but he managed to capture the record for the world's longest hangover.
